The best way to volunteer is talk to someone at the coffee bar. However, if you prefer you can use the form below.
Service Work
We encourage everyone to get involved in their own way. There are many ways you can give back to the A.A. community and make your recovery stronger. Here are a few ideas:
Coffee Bar
If you’re interested in running the coffee bar you’ll need three months sober. You’ll need to handle money and learn to run the cash resister. You’ll meet a lot of people and have lots of fun.
Chair Meetings
If you’re interested in chairing meetings, you’ll need to show up early and grab the big chair! It’s a way to serve and help fellow A.A. members and newcomers. If you and your sponsor think you’re ready and meet the 3-month sobriety requirement, this is a simple and helpful way to give back to the fellowship.
Event Volunteer
We need volunteers to help with events. Each event will list the tasks that need help. The event coordinator will organize the volunteers, so talk to the coffee bar attendant if you’re interested in helping.
Board of Directors
If you’ve been sober for two years or more, you can run for the Board in our annual election.
Other Opportunities
There are lots of other ways to get involved, both at the club and with other groups nearby. Just showing up early to meetings and talking to newcomers can really help you in your own recovery. Ask others in the fellowship how they stay involved and what they do to help.
